I recently discovered Shortwave, an internet radio player. Video game music or electro swing go well with work.

I was intensely using Shortwave for the last few years:
Now I use Transistor and VLC between devices, but I want to to start replacing all of my music consumption with music production in the near future instead.

It does cut the song at the wrong time sometimes. The resulting file is either cut off, or sometimes contains part of the radio jingle. It might be related to the specific radios I listen to, and how they advertise song metadata.

The metadata stream is not necessarily synchronized with the song starts/ends, so the cuts/splices are a best-effort implementation.
