We at Software Freedom Conservancy will be hosting the fourth annual FOSS Yearly conference (FOSSY) at UBC this year, from August 6-9. Details are at fossy [dot] ca.

Also, for those in Vancouver currently, we have a little meetup this Sunday (March 22) at Z-Space downtown, 5-7pm. Message me back for a link. :slight_smile:

I’ll be giving a short talk and we’ll discuss what FOSSY is about and introduce people to others in and around FOSS in the area. Hope to see you there!

I will be there on Sunday among other VanLUG board members, and I am the primary assignee on the VanLUG responsible for representing VanLUG during the event later this Fall. Here is the event URL for registration:

It was a pleasure to meet with you in person earlier this weekend. We would like to secure a booth for FOSSY 2026 as a non-profit and member-funded society, so please let us know if there is a formal process for handling our interest.
