Reminder: FOSSY 2026 registration and call for proposals

For FOSSY 2026 (August 6–9 at UBC), some dates to take note of:

  • May 30th: Early Bird registration ends!
  • June 1st: Call for Proposals (CFP) closes!

There are a number of interesting tracks including Linux kernel, Toolchains, Databases, Open Source governance and community, FOSS, Fedicon, XMPP, Licensing/Legal, and many more (including of course an AI Track). Please checkout the fossy 2026 website.

Looks like they also have opportunities to volunteer for the event to help out and have the chance to attend and meet people. FOSSY 2026 | Volunteering

The VanLUG board has applied for a booth, but if it does not pan out, then I probably will not attend FOSSY.
